Terms & Conditions
Services Provided
Cullen’s Music offers one-to-one music tuition delivered either in person or online, as well as event commissions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services offered at any time. All lessons and bookings are subject to availability, and we may decline a scheduling request if unable to accommodate.
Eligibility and Student Responsibilities
Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian’s permission to book lessons, and such parent or guardian must be responsible for communication with us, payments, and adherence to these Terms and Conditions. Students are expected to attend lessons punctually, come prepared with instruments and materials where required, and behave respectfully during all sessions.
Fees and Payment
Lesson and commission fees will be clearly stated at the point of booking and must be paid in accordance with the payment instructions provided. Payment may be required in advance for single lessons or for a block of lessons. We reserve the right to withhold future lessons if payment has not been made on time. All prices include VAT where applicable. We may update our pricing from time to time, and any fee changes will be communicated before taking effect.
Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
Students must give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations made with fewer than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full at our discretion. Commission clients must provide 7 days notice of cancellation or any changes due to the necessity of allocating a member of our staff for the entire working day. If we need to cancel a lesson or commission due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, we will offer an alternative time or provide a full refund for the affected session. Refunds for prepaid lesson blocks are provided only in exceptional circumstances and are issued at our sole discretion.
Online Lessons and Technical Requirements
For online lessons, students must ensure they have a stable internet connection, suitable device, and functioning audio/video equipment. We are not responsible for disruptions caused by technical issues on the student’s end. If we experience technical issues, we will reschedule the lesson at no additional cost.
Health, Safety, and Conduct
For in-person lessons, students must comply with any health and safety guidance provided by us or required by law. We reserve the right to end a lesson or terminate a tuition arrangement if a student behaves in a way that is abusive, unsafe, or disruptive.
Intellectual Property
All teaching materials, lesson content, recordings, handouts, and resources provided by us remain our intellectual property unless explicitly stated otherwise. Students may use these materials for personal study only and may not share, distribute, or reproduce them without our written consent.
Privacy and Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Any personal information collected through the website or during bookings will be used solely for the administration of lessons, communication, and service delivery. We will not share your information with third parties unless required to do so by law or with your explicit consent. Full details are provided in our Privacy Policy.
Liability
Cullen’s Music will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim related to our services will not exceed the total amount paid for the affected lesson or service. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
Termination of Services
Either party may terminate the tuition or commission arrangement at any time by providing reasonable notice. We reserve the right to terminate services immediately if the student or client breaches these Terms and Conditions or behaves inappropriately. Any outstanding payments must be settled upon termination.
Amendments to these Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
